Texas LB considers Hogs, Tigers

Tiger Rag spoke with one of the top linebackers in Texas, Darius Ingram (6-2, 220, 4.6) of Tenaha, after he returned home his weekend excursion to Fayetteville, Ark.

"It was pretty good," said Ingram. "We basically did everything you do on all recruiting trips, just have a great time."

Finding a place where he fits in is Ingram's main objective through the whole recruiting process and Arkansas could be just the place.

"I think I fit in pretty descent over there," he said. "Not only athletically but also socially. It is a great place. It really is."

The only other official visit he took was to LSU the week before and both visits gave him something to think about. But which trip was better?

"I think they were both about the same," Ingram said. "I can't really put one above the other. As far as facilities, coaching staff and everything I've seen, you just can't put one above the other."

Ingram will visit TCU this weekend and that is the last recruiting trip he has set up. After his visit to the Horned Frogs, Ingram knows he has a difficult decision to make.

"Every recruit has a tough decision to make on where they want to spend the next four or five years of his life," said Ingram. "Signing day is coming up pretty soon so hopefully I'll have everything in my mind together by then."

Sonny's View: LSU needs linebackers more than Arkansas does and I think the chance for immediate playing time is in the Tigers' favor. But how much?
