Reid enjoys hanging out

Dutchtown safety Eric Reid has had the Tiger staff's attention for some time. This weekend, the junior made the trip to Baton Rouge to take in junior day.

"I had a blast," Reid said. "The coolest part was getting to meet all the new defensive coaches, because I had not really gotten a chance to sit down and talk with any of them about things yet."

The Dutchtown-standout said that he spent the most time with defensive backs coach Ron Cooper.

"Coach Cooper brought me in for a one on one meeting," Reid said. "He started testing me on stuff, so we had some fun. We went over a lot of formations and we just talked about what kind of safety I could be. It was really good just getting to sit down and start to get to know him."

The four-star safety said that though no offer was extended, the weekend was everything that he wanted it to be.

"From touring the campus to watching the basketball game, it was all fun," he said. "The facilities were really impressive, so that was another cool thing.

"The coaches are going to take a look at me at camp, and then we will see what happens from there on an offer. I am just going to stay patient and let that all work itself out."
