Henson is official

Josh Henson, who coached the tight ends and served as the recruiting coordinator at LSU since 2005, has resigned to take a position on the staff at the University of Missouri.

Henson will share offensive line coaching duties at Missouri with Bruce Walker.

Henson departs LSU after serving for four years on the Tiger coaching staff. While at LSU, Henson coached the tight ends and also served as the recruiting coordinator for the Tigers.

During his four years at LSU, the Tigers captured the 2007 national championship as well as the Southeastern Conference title that year. LSU won four bowl games with Henson on staff.

The move to Missouri puts Henson back in the Big 12, a league that he played in and one where he got his start in coaching. Henson was a four-year starter on the offensive line at Oklahoma State from 1993-97 and later started his coaching career in Stillwater under Les Miles.

Miles said a search for Henson’s replacement will be immediately.
