Muschamp is relentless on the recruiting trail

Quinton Culberson (6-0, 205) of Province High School in Jackson, Miss. is regarded as one of the premiere safeties in the country by anyone who follows recruiting.

At the beginning of the recruiting process he did not have much interest in the LSU Tigers but all of that has changed with the hard work and dedication LSU defensive coordinator Will Muschamp has shown him.

When asked what stood out about the LSU program he instantly replied, "Coach Muschamp."

"They (LSU) play great defense too," Culberson told Tiger Rag. "I know they are a good team and I think it would be a good environment. I really didn't think much about playing at LSU until coach Muschamp started calling me and telling me how great they were. After that, I started watching them and started liking them."

The next four weekends will be extremely busy for the Magnolia State's All-American as he will be traveling in hopes of finding his new home for the next four or five years.

"I've already been to Mississippi State," Culberson said, "and I am going to Florida this weekend, Ole Miss on the 17th, LSU on the 24th and Southern Miss on the 31st."

Fans in his home state have voiced their opinions on which school they think he should sign with and most are in favor of the two state schools- Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

"I hear it a lot," said Culberson. "Mississippi State fans and Ole Miss fans tell me how I need to go to their school all the time. I get a lot of pressure but most of it comes from the local community."

Is there a leader now?

"No," he said. "I'm wide open."
