Graham dismissed

LSU was already thin in men's basketball for the 2009-10 season and the Tigers now have one less player as head men's basketball coach Trent Johnson announced Thursday that freshman forward Delwan Graham was no longer on the team.

“I will not renew Delwan Graham’s scholarship for next season and he will not be with the team because of a violation of team rules,” said Johnson.

Graham played in 25 games during his freshman season and averaged 1.7 points and 1.5 rebounds.

The Tigers are now down to seven returning players but that number could go to six if Tasmin Mitchell does not pull his name out of the NBA draft by the June 15 deadline.

Currently, the roster for next season includes redshirt freshman Dennis Harris, sophomores Chris Bass, Storm Warren and Garrett Green, junior Bo Spencer, and seniors Mitchell and Alex Farrer.

The Tigers will have two players from the 2009 signing class eligible for next season in Eddie Ludwig and Aaron Dotson. Malcolm White  – an Ole Miss transfer  – will have three years to play two for the Tigers but must sit out the 2009-10 season due to transfer rules.
