Bradford still looking at LSU

LSU recruiting coordinator/tight ends coach Derek Dooley made many telephone calls to recruits Wednesday night but none may have been as important as the one he made to Fremont High School's Mark Bradford of Los Angeles, Calif.

Bradford (6-2, 185, 4.4) is rated the 12th best receiver in the country by and will be a huge grab for the program he decides to sign with.

Four schools are still in contention for his signature but a fifth school could get into the mix before too long.

"I am still looking at LSU, Stanford, USC and Notre Dame and I'm also waiting to hear from UCLA about the changes they're going through," Bradford told Tiger Rag.

Is there a leader in that group?

"I wouldn't say I have a leader right now," he said. "I just have a top four. I need to get all of the information that is out there before I make my decision."

When asked if he had a sincere interest in the Tigers he replied, "Definitely."

Dooley and the other Tiger coaches have given Bradford plenty of attention since they started recruiting him and it could pay off in a big way.

"Basically, they (LSU coaches) are doing a good job of recruiting me and staying on top of everything with giving me all the information I need," said Bradford. "They are recruiting a lot of good players and they plan on running a wide-open offense. They want to get the ball to people who can make plays. I know their record wasn't as good as it could have been but they have a lot of good players for the future."

Notre Dame will get his last official visit this weekend and then he said he will sit down with his parents and coaches and weigh things out.
