LSU next on the visit list

Nick Saban would like to sign one more quality cornerback for the upcoming recruiting class and he has his heart set on one of the top cover corners in California.

Is the interest still mutual?

Birmingham-Van Nuys (Calif.) cornerback Chad Green (6-0, 175, 4.4) will take his final official visit this weekend when he travels across the country to Baton Rouge.

He has visited Oregon, Arizona State, Washington and Oregon State and an unofficial trip to UCLA could still pan out. Green has heard a lot about the culture and lifestyle in South Louisiana but he is ready to see it first hand.

"I'm very excited," Green said of the weekend that lies ahead of him. "This is actually the trip I've been waiting for the most out of all of them. I'm really looking forward to seeing the school and the city."

LSU recruiting coordinator Derek Dooley called on Monday to touch base with the stellar athlete and Saban will make his in-house visit on Thursday.

"He (Dooley) said they're holding a scholarship for me and how excited they were to have me come down for the weekend," said Green.

The soft spoken California native said he likes the Tigers a lot but he is still wide open.

"I don't have a leader," Green told Tiger Rag. "I'm just keeping it all in perspective equally and not trying to be biased or partial to any one school."

Tiger Rag asked him if the Tigers were near the top of his list and he replied, "Oh yes. Yes."
