Hill and Collins Shine in Jamboree

Two of LSU's top commitments were in action in north Baton Rouge on Friday night when Redemptorist welcomed Catholic in the final game of the All-Catholic Jamboree at Majella Field.

La'el Collins            OT        6-4, 305       Redemptorist High

Not many high school players are able to win battles with the 6-foot-4, 305-pounder, and Collins showed why against Catholic. With the body of an NFL lineman, Collins has excellent feet and power, able to drive defenders back and get to the next level. Ranked as the nation's second-best offensive tackle, the five-star opened the left side of the line to help Hill to over 100 yards on the night. By game's end, the big man also switched over to rushing the passer at defensive end.

Jeremy Hill       WR  6-1, 220     Redemptorist High

Hill had a big night running the football, carrying the ball 16 times for 136 yards and the game's opening score. Though his 57-yard touchdown went down as his one long run of the evening, the senior showed a consistent ability to pick up five and six yards at a time. At 220 pounds, Hill has unique footwork - flashing quick steps and the ability to side-step defenders and get to the next level. A four-star prospect, the Baton Rouge native is currently ranked as the nation's 17th-best back.
