Marq beat DePaul 89-78 in front of 16,176 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. MU was led by Vander Blue's 18 pts & Junior Cadougan's 17pts. DePaul was paced by Brandon Young's 20pts and stayed in the game by hitting 9 of 20 from three. The Golden Eagles[17-5, 8-2BE] were 24-27 from the FT line including Blue's 8-8 and Davante Gardner's 7-8. Here is Sarah Barshop's look at the game by the numbers.

68 – Number of wins all-time against DePaul

Marquette has played DePaul 112 times since 1918, which is second only to the number of games the Golden Eagles have played against Wisconsin (118) and Notre Dame (116). After Saturday's 89-78 win over the Blue Demons, Marquette leads the all-time series 68-44.

[Junior had 17 pts, 6 assts and 6 rebs]

36 – Number of Marquette points from the bench

The Golden Eagles came into the game averaging 29.9 points (fifth-most in nation) and 17.5 rebounds per game from players not in the starting lineup. Marquette's opponents are averaging just 14.3 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.

Marquette continued that success on both ends tonight, outscoring DePaul's bench 36-7.

This number is especially prominent given that last season the Golden Eagles' bench averaged just 16.6 points per game.

[Gardner had 13pts, 2 Asts and 3 rebs]

22 – Number of consecutive wins at home

Marquette currently holds a 22-game winning streak at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, which is good for the fifth-longest active streak in the nation.

They trail only Syracuse, South Dakota State, Colorado State, and Southern Miss. The Orange lead the way with 36-straight wins at the Carrier Dome.

The Golden Eagles haven't lost at home since losing to Vanderbilt on Dec. 29, 2011. Since that point, Marquette went a perfect 9-0 in Big East play in 2011-12, and are 13-0 at home so far this season. In the 24 seasons that Golden Eagles have played at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, they own an overall record of 325-87 (.788) and are 51-13 (.797) in Big East play.

Still, this 22-game winning streak is far from the longest run in school history. From 1967-73, Marquette won 81 straight games at home, which is the fifth-longest streak in NCAA history.

[Buzz Williams lauded Chris Otule's efforts. He was 5-5FGs, 10pts, 5 rebs and 1 block in 15min]

The Golden Eagles tied a season-high with 89 points in their win over DePaul. The Golden Eagles also scored 89 in a win over Mississippi State on Nov. 20 in the Maui Invitational.

81 – Number of points from Marquette and DePaul in the first half

Marquette and DePaul combined for 81 points in the first half of Saturday's contest, which is the highest total in the first half of any Marquette game this season.
