New Big East Commissioner named after MU win

Pope Francis, who was born, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, has become the first Commissioner of The Catholic 7/ The New Big East Conference. In his first official act as Commissioner, he declared Marquette's 13-4 run to finish the Davidson game an official 'miracle.' At today's presser, he also announced that the league headquarters was being moved from Providence RI to Rome.

These announcements were broadcast live by CBS Sports, TNT, TBS and TruTV. However, all future comments will be presented over the new Fox Sports One channel, the exclusive network for The New Big East games for the next decade. Speaking of 'decades' and 'stations', the new Commissioner cut short his press conference to prepare for Palm Sunday services in Rome.

Marquette Team chaplain, Fr William J Kelly, also of the Society of Jesus [SJ],who was very pleased and proud to have a Jesuit priest named as Pope and even more so now that a Jesuit has been named as Commissioner of the new conference. Fr Kelly was even more grateful after the team's last second win over Davidson. He said, 'After tough last second NCAA Tournament losses against Stanford, Missouri and Washington, it was much more fun to win one in the final moments today in Lexington.'
