Carlino scores 38: MU 72 GeoTech 70

Orlando, Fla. – Graduate Senior transfer Matt Carlino had a career-high 38 points, scoring more than half of the team’s points, to lead Marquette past Georgia Tech 72-70 in game 1 of the Orlando Classic.

Carlino who had 15 pts at the half, and 23 pts in the second frame, finished 8 for 14 from three and was much more aggressive on offense after MU head Coach Mike Wojciechowski challenged the Senior after his 1 pt performance vs NJIT on Monday.
