MU releases Nick Noskowiak Letter of Intent

Milwaukee – Prep guard Nick Noskowiak has been granted a release from his National Letter of Intent with the Marquette University men’s basketball program and will not attend the University, head coach Steve Wojciechowski announced Friday afternoon.

“We support Nick’s request to be granted a release from his letter of intent,” Wojciechowski said. “After a discussion with Nick, we decided it was best for our program, and for Nick personally, to explore other options and wish him the best of luck as he continues his basketball career.”

Noskowiak averaged 23.7 points per game at Sun Prairie High School as a junior in 2013-14 under head coach Jeff Boos and was one of three signees (four total) in the nationally ranked 2015 signing class from the state of Wisconsin.

“Our staff is working on a daily basis to build Marquette into one of the elite programs in the nation,” Wojciechowski said. “I am proud to say that our remaining current and future players understand what goes into building a championship-caliber team and the dedication it’s going to take to get us there.”

Noskowiak will be free to transfer to another school after completing the release request process, but per league rule will be unable to join another BIG EAST Conference program.
