James scores MU's last 18pts in 65-62 win

Dominic James scored the MU's final 18 points as the Golden Eagles survived their first road game with a 65-62 win in a thriller at Valparaiso. Tied at 62 with 10 seconds left, MU coach Tom Crean called a timeout in the frontcourt to set up a play for Dominic James. Wes Matthews threw the inbounds pass to C Ousmane Barro who handed it back to Wes.[See video DJ's shot at our message board]

Matthews dribbled over to the extended right key and handed off to James who then used Barro as a screen to create space from the Valpo double team. James dribbled from the right key and buried a 22 foot three to make it 65-62 with 3.2 seconds left.
Valpo was out of timeouts so they quickly in bounded to guard Brandon McPherson who dribbled down the right sideline and launched 28 foot running leaner off of one foot at the buzzer. It looked good all the way but bracketed the back rim.
Marquette was helped by the solid play of C Ousmane Barro who had 10 pts and 13 rebs for his first career double double. Valpo shot 8 of 10 threes in the second half to keep the game in doubt.
