Taking a look at Delaware State

Marquette will take on the Delaware State Hornets tonight at 7:00 at the Bradley Center. The Hornets return 4 starters from last season and also feature transfer Roy Bright.

Interesting Notes: Delaware State is not afraid to take on the big boys - five of their six losses so far this year have come against Pittsburgh, NC State, Missouri State, Wisconsin and Purdue. After playing Marquette they will face Michigan, Buffalo and Baylor to close out the non-conference season.

Guard: #33, Jahsha Bluntt: 6-6 220 SR Los Angeles, Calif. / Fairfax HS
Averaging 33.5 MPG, 14 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Bluntt leads the team in rebounding, is second in steals and is shooting 95% from the free throw line (23-24). He also leads the team with three pointers at 17 on the season.


Guard: #00, Darrin Shine: 5-10 SR Augusta, Ga. / Aiken Technical College

Averaging 32.2 MPG, 6.8 points per game and 4.2 assists per game. Shine does have 12 steals on the year, but also has 22 turnovers to go with them.


Forward: #34, Aaron Fleetwood: 6-9 SR Raleigh, N.C. / Word of God Christian Acad.

Averaging 27.5 MPG, 7.1 points per game, 3.6 rebounds and just under 3 blocks per game.


Forward: #42, Troy Roundtree: 6-5 225 SR Philadelphia, Pa. / Northeast HS

Averaging 26.8 MPG, 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. He is currently leading the team in shooting percentage at 52%.


Forward: #45, Roy Bright: 6-6 225 JR Durham, N.C. / Garden City CC

Averaging 30.3 MPG, 13.1 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. Bright, the former Cincinnati Bearcat is second on the team in scoring, blocks and rebounds.
