Morgan State University

Location: Baltimore, MD

Mascot: Bears

Conference: Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference

2005-2006 Record: 4-26 (4-14)

2006-2007 Record: 2-7 (1-0), including an 0-7 road record

All-time series with Marquette: Marquette leads 4-0, defeating MSU 85-51 in 1999.

Interesting notes: MSU played Eastern Carolina twice this season, splitting the series on the respective teams home courts

Coach: Todd Bozeman is in his first year as head coach of Morgan State and has a career record of 64-35 in four total years of coaching.

Probable Starters:

#1 Jerrell Green: a 5'10" junior guard from Baltimore, MD.  Averaging 3.6 ppg and 4.3 apg on 38% shooting (8/21), has a 1.9 a/to ratio and a 28% clip from beyond the arc

#34 Jamar Smith: a 6'3" junior guard from Brooklyn Park, MN.  Averaging 10.3 ppg and 3.9 rpg on 42.6% shooting (29/68) and 26.7% from beyond the arc (4/15), has made three starts this season

#5 Joseph McLean: a 6'2" senior guard from Newark, NJ.  Averaging 10.1 ppg, 2.6 apg, and 2.7 rpg on 38.9% shooting (28/72) and 35.3% (12/34) shooting from beyond the arc.

#2 Ronald Timus: a 6'6" senior forward from Washington, DC.  Averaging 14.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and 1.9 apg on 50.7% shooting (35/69), is undoubtedly the star of the team stats wise

#4 Boubacar Coly: a 6'9" junior forward from Ziguinchor, Senegal.  Averaging 10.3 ppg and 7.3 rpg on 46% shooting (23/50).  Also has a .1 a/to ratio (3 assists to 26 turnovers).

Key Reserve:

#11 Reggie Holmes: a 6'4" freshman guard from Baltimore, MD.  Averaging 14.0 ppg and 2.9 rpg on 47.9% shooting (35/73) and 44.7% (21/47) from beyond the arc, all of these stats have occurred in 156 minutes of playing time, including a miniscule 3 assists, appears to be a good shooter, but the stats would show he also appears to be a ball hog, MU needs to be careful with him off the bench as he appears to be the only three point threat MSU has.
