All 31 Regular-Season Games Slated For Coverage; Including Exhibition
Milwaukee – Marquette University men's basketball fans will find it easier than ever to follow the program this season thanks to a record number of television appearances, made possible through partnerships with Time Warner Cable (TWC), WDJT/WMLW (Milwaukee) and WACY (Appleton/Green Bay).
Marquette's ground-breaking local television agreement compliments the 13 games already slated for national broadcast on the ESPN family of networks and CBS.
"Thanks to the exceptional commitment and vision of our partners, Marquette basketball fans have a local television package that rivals any in college basketball," said Mike Broeker, Deputy Director of Athletics.
TWC (Channel 32) will air 14 games locally that involve the Golden Eagles, and WDJT/WMLW (Milwaukee) and WACY (Appleton/Green Bay) will pick up the remaining four contests on the schedule, as well as the BIG EAST Conference's syndicated Game of the Week package.
Marquette's local, regional and national media exposure will reach an all-time high as each of the team's 31 games, including the exhibition, will be available on television.
In addition to game broadcasts, TWC will be the home of "The Tom Crean Show" and "The Teri Mitchell Show." The cable provider has also committed to live and taped coverage of several Olympic sport matchups and expanded women's basketball inventory.
"Time Warner Cable's total investment in our athletics department will significantly enhance the exposure and promotion of our programs," said Broeker. "Both deals exemplify the momentum surrounding Marquette Athletics."
TWC will begin its coverage this week with tape delay broadcasts of the women's soccer match at UW-Green Bay on Sept. 12 and the men's soccer matchup versus Notre Dame at Valley Fields on Sept. 15.
