Coach Dale Layer on MU's Offense[Part1]

When Marquette assistant Coach Dale Layer was head coach at Colorado State in 2000, he added Buzz Williams to his staff. When Buzz Williams became head coach of Marquette in April 2008, he returned the favor adding Layer to his staff. In Part 1 of our 2 part audio segments, Coach Layer discusses MU's 'Two Game' motion offense which was originally developed by Bill Self and came the coaching tree

to Buzz Williams through Billy Gillespie when both were at Texas A&M. The '2 game offense' is a '4 out around 1' motion offense where drives to the paint set up points from shots and assists.

Layer says that there are rules for ball movement and room for flexibility that allows Buzz to set up plays out of the offense.
