Ryan Taylor, a 6'6", 205 pound forward has signed to play with the Thundering Herd. Taylor spent last season on the court at Hargrave Military Academy, in Chatham, Virginia.
Taylor originally committed to Rick Pitino at the University of Louisville. However, Taylor never signed with the Cardinals and enrolled in the Virginia Prep School. Taylor has been recruited heavily by several teams in the Big East and the Big Ten before deciding to sign with the Herd.
According to an online website, Taylor's game is compared to that of the Boston Celtics' Paul Pierce.
One of Taylor's better games this past season came against Notre Dame Prep, a nationally ranked school from Massachusetts. In the Hargrave victory, Taylor scored 26 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
Taylor is rated three stars by Scout.com.
This brings the number of the 2012 recruiting class to 12.
