New Ticket Manager On Board at Marshall
Michael Carpenter, 27, a native of Warrenton, Va., takes over from former manager Warren Peterson. "We are very excited to have Michael on board with us here at Marshall," Director of Athletics Lance West said. "Our ticket office is one of our most important links to Thundering Herd fans and we believe Michael will help us improve our operations and customer service." Carpenter is a 1997 graduate of James Madison, where he has served as ticket manager for the past three years. "Getting an opportunity to come to work in an athletic department like the one here at Marshall is very exciting for me and my family," Carpenter said. "It was important for me to be a part of a growing program and be in a position to help the program continue to grow from a customer service standpoint." Carpenter joins the athletic ticket office in the middle of the 2001 football season ticket campaign. He will work closely with Associate Athletics Director Michael Bianchin and the Big Green office to make sure all Herd fans receive the type of customer service they are entitled to. Carpenter and his wife, Kari, have a six-year-old daughter, Lindsey.
