Letman Close to Decision

Marshall's season ended in heartbreaking fashion last Friday afternoon in Greenville, South Carolina. The Herd saw its offense score 59 points, and still lose. The defense needed to make one play on fourth down late in the game to seal the victory and a bowl birth, and came up short.

Marshall's two leading tacklers this season were senior safeties Okechukwu Okoroha and Dominick LeGrande. As has stated multiple times, it should come as no surprise that Doc Holliday is looking through the JUCO ranks to grab a couple safeties to come in and play right away.

A few weeks ago, Taj Letman, a JUCO from Holmes Community College visited the Marshall campus and left very impressed.

Letman is a 6'2", 200 pound safety who would have at least two years, and possibly a third year of playing time once he arrives to his school of choice. Another important piece of the Letman puzzle is the fact that he will graduate from his community college this December and be able to sign and enroll at his school of choice immediately.

This means that Letman will be able to step in to someones spring practice and play immediately.

Recently I caught up with Letman. Letman has three leaders at this point, Marshall, Florida International and Louisville.

Letman is not going to make people wait very long, he is set to make his decision this coming Sunday or Monday.
