Official Visitors Janurary 25

The list may be small on numbers, but its not light on talent. Marshall head coach Doc Holliday, and his staff will welcome four prospects to campus this weekend as they take their official visits to the Huntington, WV campus. Two offensive players, and two defensive players make up the small group, as the recruiting season for 2013 begins to wind down.

Here is the list of visitors:

Lakeith Murray
Ventura Community College
6'0" 185 pounds
Safety

Murray is a safety that is slated to come in and compete for playing time with the departures of Marshall two starting safeties from 2012. Murray is a very athletic safety, who has very good ball skills.

Murray is a two star Junior College prospect at this time.

Currently he holds offers from New Mexico, New Mexico State, Marshall and Wyoming. He has committed to Marshall and is a solid verbal, however, Holliday and company will have to work to keep his commitment as he is getting some late attention from USF.

Shykeem Pitts
Ridge High School
Davenport, Florida

Wide Receiver/Safety

Pitts is decribed simply as being "athletic at everything he does." He has the ability to take the ball the distance each time he touches it. He has great acceleration, and he makes it look easy.

Pittman is a player who did not carry the ball that much this season at Phoebus, but he was dynamite when he did. He ended the season with 534 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 52 carries. He basically scored every fifth time he touched the football. Pittman is a track guy who has used the track to help him develop more speed on the football field.

Currently Pittman has offers from Marshall, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, and Purdue.

Pittman is rated two stars.

Davon Durant
Greenwood High School
Greenwood, South Carolina

The final recruit is Davon Durant. Durant is simply a dynamite linebacker. He is projected to be good enough to make an immediate impact in someway, no matter what school he chooses.
