Visitor List February 1

The final weekend of official visitors prior to National Signing Day is upon us. Marshall will welcome another small, but very talented group of athletes to campus this week. Last week the Herd staff brought in four players, and by the time the weekend was over, one of them reaffirmed his commitment, and two others committed.

If Marshall can go three out of four again this weekend, then the class will definitely continue to grow both in numbers and in ranking.

Marshall will have at least four visitors this weekend, this could change due to last minute additions or due to weather issues.

Let's get to it.

Brandon Byrd
Running Back
6'0 180
East Bay HS
Gibsonton, FL

Byrd is a dynamite running back with tremendous speed. Byrd did not have an excellent year, but is definitely a player that is moving up in regards to his skills being noticed. Currently Byrd only holds one offer, an offer from Marshall. One can assume that Marshall hopes to get a commitment from Byrd soon.

Byrd is a talented running back who rushed for nearly 500 yards this season. He also showed an ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Byrd also saw time on special teams as a kick and punt returner.

Dvon Ballard
Running Back
5'10 180
Booker T. Washington HS
Miami, FL

Ballard is a teammate of a highly regarded Florida State commit. Is that commit making any last minute visits? Stay tuned to this article for that info.

Ballard currently does not have any offers, but the mutual interest from both sides should be evident in the fact that Ballard is taking an official visit to Huntington this weekend. Ballard is currently unranked in the system, but does have a profile.

Sandley Jean-Felix
Offensive Tackle
6'5 292
Boyd Anderson HS
Lauderdale Lakes, FL

Jean-Felix is a large offensive tackle from South Florida. Jean-Felix attends Boyd Anderson High School, which is the same high school that current Marshall players Kent Turene and Marques Aiken attend. Felix is a very talented tackle who is rated fairly high despite missing his entire junior season at Boyd Anderson.

Felix is a nationally ranked three star offensive tackle and currently is committed to Florida International University.

Michael Johnson
5'9 153
Booker T. Washington HS
Miami, FL

Michael Johnson from Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, could be one of the most talented players on the board. Johnson is highly recruited and is highly rated at his positon. He is currently committed to Florida State, but Marshall snagged a late visit.

Johnson is a big hitter and players very well to the football. He is rated three stars by will work to get updates as soon as possible on each visit. Stay tuned.
