Marshall Offers DeMatha DE

The Marshall coaching staff remains on the recruiting trail and committed to continue to deepen the roster with talent at all positions. A couple weeks ago, the staff offered not just a couple players from the same school, but four players from one school, DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Deonte Holden is one of those players. Holden is currently an unranked 6'5", 220 pound defensive end. I asked Holden what position he intended on playing at the next level, and he said, "I want to play Defensive End but I know I'll have to drop back in coverage a couple of times so I could be a rush outside linebacker. However, I really don't care I just want to be on the field to be honest."

Holden bookended a defensive line with another Marshall offer, Spencer Kleinrichert.

Currently, Holden has no favorites, but does hold over ten offers, including, Cincinnati, Iowa, Duke, NC State, Temple, Toledo, UNC Charottle, Old Dominion, and Hawaii.

Holden's lead recruiter is JC Price. Price nailed down three of Marshall's biggest recruits last season in Angelo Jean- Louis, Stephan Houston, and Deontay McManus.

I asked Holden how much he knew about Marshall and he said, "I really don't know too much about the school except that Randy Moss went there!"

In addition to Holden and Kleinrichert, Marshall has also offered DeMatha's stars, JaWhaun Bentley and Chris Jones.
