Marshall Hosts Weekend Visitors

Marshall's football team returns home this weekend for Homecoming against the UTSA Road Runners. Kick time set for 2pm. A home game means it is time for official visitors to tour the campus and the community as they decide on where to pursue their college careers. This week is no different in Huntington. has learned that three prospects will be making their official visits to the campus this weekend. Along with these three, there should be multiple other local and regional athletes making unofficial visits, but for today's article we will just focus on the three official visitors.

Of the three official visitors, two of them have already made early commitments to play football next season at Marshall. The third is a junior college offensive lineman who would be able to step in and replace any of the exiting Marshall senior lineman, Garrett Scott, Gage Niemeyer, Alex Schooler or Jordan Jefferies.

Reese Wooten – Wooten has the potential to be the steal of the class. Wooten has real speed at the wide out spot running a legit sub 4.4. Wooten is from Cairo, Georgia. He stands in at 6'2", 170 pounds and is currently unrated and unranked. Wooten committed to the Herd, and Coach Hartley, over the summer.

Ryan Yurachek – Yurachek is viewed as an underrated tight end out of Carolina Forest High School in South Carolina. Yurachek is a 6'3", 225 pound tight end recruited by wide receivers coach Mike Furrey. Yurachek is a two star tight end ranked 79th in the country. He committed to the Herd back in July and will be making his official visit this weekend.

The third official visitor is an offensive lineman from junior college. His name is Kyle Harris. Harris is a 6'3", 285 pound guard/center from Itawamba Community College. Harris is currently rated two stars, however, coming out of high school he was rated three stars and ranked 40th in the country. He committed originally to Georgia Tech before opening up his recruitment and later committing to the University of South Carolina GameCocks.

Stay tuned to next week for updates of the visits.
