Update on Tyler Commitment

A few weeks ago the Marshall coaching staff received a commitment from an exciting defensive player. The outside linebacker will be able to play inside or outside, and could move to defensive end, when he arrives on campus to begin the 2015 college football season.

Ty Tyler has committed to continue to play his football at Marshall University. Tyler was recruited primarily by Marshall linebacker coach Sean Fuller. Tyler is from Punta Gorda, Florida where he attends Charlotte High School. Tyler will be entering his senior year in the fall of 2014. He expects to be a part of a, “pretty good,” high school team.

Tyler is 6’3”, and 231 pounds. He is very athletic and as mentioned previously, he expects to come in and play at either outside linebacker or defensive end.

Tyler has not visited campus yet, but still had no problem committing to Fuller and the Herd. When asked what some things were that he liked the most, he said, “I really appreciated all the love that I felt and received from Coach Fuller and the rest of the staff. My mom and all of my high school coaches also believe that it is a great place for me to continue my career.”

Tyler also had offers from South Alabama, Toledo and CUSA school, UAB.

The commitment of Tyler brings the Herd Commitment list up to 13.
