Two More Commit

As signing day nears, the Marshall coaching staff continues to add to an already impressive roster of football players. This past weekend was no different as three big name players committed to the program. Then, last night, word came that at least two more had committed.

Marshall has long been the place for Florida linebacker Ty Tyler. Last night, Herdhaven learned that his cousin Devontre’a Tyler has committed to play for the Herd. The 6’3”, 238 pound inside linebacker from Iowa Central will transfer to Marshall and be eligible upon graduation in May.

Tyler is a big, athletic linebacker who is built and plays very similar to his cousin. Remember, his cousin Ty could be one of the steals of the class as he shut down his recruitment early on and made it known he was coming to the Herd.

In addition to Tyler, the Herd also received a commitment from Fort Myers High School Linebacker George Thomas. Thomas currently is 6’3”, 186 pounds.

Both players are currently unrated by scout.com and brings the Herd total to 21 commitments.

This does not include the commitment to walk on by Colorado quarterback, Kyle Gallup.

Stay tuned to Herdhaven as we finish up coverage of this class starting tomorrow morning at 730am. We will then slam head first into 2016 coverage as well as coverage of a 2017 recruit with close Marshall ties.

Stay tuned. Tell a friend, sign up for just $4.75 and get all the info and discuss the recruits for the next 30 days.
