Practice Notes: April 21

Marshall spring practice continued on Tuesday. Jerome Dews, a former Tennessee commit has been quiet most of the spring, how did he do on Tuesday. The quarterback battle continues, and the talent along the defensive front is growing each and every time the green and white slap on the pads and jog onto the field. With spring practices dwindling, the depth chart is starting to take shape.

Every spring time each college football program gets fifteen practices. Of those fifteen practices, three have to be in just helmets. Tuesday was Marshall’s thirteenth practice. The fifteenth practice will be the annual Green and White game on Saturday, kickoff set for 2pm. There will be a plethora of activities prior to the game for fans of all ages to enjoy and partake in. The final practice before the spring game is typically a helmets only walk practice, with little to no contact.

At Tuesday’s practice I focused a lot of my time on both sides of the line, watching the offensive and defensive lines heavy early on in the practice as they went toe to toe on multiple drills.
