Big QB Makes Official Visit to MU

This 6-4, 205 pound quarterback from Pennsylvania made an official visit to Marshall this weekend, and liked what he saw. In an exclusive interview with Herd Insider, we get the lowdown on this QB and what he has to offer the Herd.

Karim El Nokali is a 6-4, 205 pound quarterback from Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. In 2001, El Nokali threw for 1,650 yards, 16TDs, and only 6 INTs. A self-described drop-back passer, Nokali possesses a strong arm, one that he thinks would fit in well at Marshall.

"It's a very attractive place to go, for quarterbacks," El Nokali said while taking in the Marshall-EMU basketball game on Saturday night. "I'm more of a drop-back passer. I don't run the option or anything, but I can do sprint-outs, bootlegs, waggles."

According to El Nokali, Marshall is very high on his list.

Until we can compile some accurate stats on El Nokali, this short interview will have to satiate the recruiting interests of you Marshall fans. Look for the complete, in-depth interview with Karim El Nokali in next week's print issue of Herd Insider, due out this Tuesday, and available on local newsstands later in the week!
