Jimmy Skinner, Chillicothe, Ohio - 6-5 185, 4.7 40; Ranked as the 42nd best pro-style quarterback by Rivals.com. Threw for 1,850 yards and 13 touchdowns. Will start for the north squad in the Ohio All-Star game. Chose Marshall over Indiana, Miami, Michigan and Purdue.
Adam Black, Knox, PA - 6-6, 205, completed 147 of 280 passes for 2,415 yards and 30 touchdowns last season. For his career, Black completed 376 of 777 passes for 5,338 yards and 55 TDs. His high school ran an offense similar to Marshall. Black was a first team small-school all state selection. Made visits to Marshall, Syracuse and Layfayette.
Tank Tunstalle, Wyoming East, WV - 6-2, 205 4.5 forty. The most sought after recruit in WV this past year. Tunstalle is a power back who should put on an easy 15-20 pounds on his frame. Had offers from WVU, Maryland, North Carolina State and Virginia Tech. May see action next year as Marshall needs to replace Trod Buggs as a power back. Playing time next year depends upon adding strength and speed.
Seth Cook, Gilbert WV - 6-5, 279, 4.9 forty. The best offensive linemen in WV this past year, Cook shows good speed and power for his size. Committed early to Marshall over WVU. Will most likely be red-shirted to add size.
Jarrett Baisden, Huntington, WV - 6-5, 285, 5.0 forty. Hometown player who commited very early (JR. year) to Marshall. May be moved to defensive tackle depending on depth. Most likely to be red-shirted next year. Illinois, WVU, Michigan state showed interest late.
Ivan Clark, Amelia, VA - 5-10, 160 4.37 forty. A real speed burner who was the James River (VA) District defensive player of the year. Also was a second team all-district performer at quarterback. Needs to add bulk and most likely will be red-shirted next year. Chose Marshall over an offer from WVU and interest from Georgia.
Chris Royal, Reston, VA - 5-11, 172 4.42 forty. Royal is attending Fork Union Military in Virginia and due to that may be able to contribute next year. Former quarterback who is very athletic who already bench presses 280 pounds. Made official visits to Kent State, Middle Tennessee State and Virginia.
Charles Hall, Cornerback, Jacksonville, Florida, Ed White High School. Hall played QB for the Commanders during his career, but has been projected as a college cornerback.
Dane Holland, Lexington, KY - 6-2, 210 4.7 forty. Holland is a true playmaker on defense. Holland had 83 tackles last year for his Lexington Catholic HS team. Has speed to be moved to safety. Most likely to be red-shirted next year while either bulking up or learning a new positon.
