Question: First off, tell us a little bit about your team at Kilgore Junior College, and their style of play in the Southwest Junior College Conference…
Gochneaur:"We're mostly a two-back offense, utilize play-action a lot. We took what defenses gave us. We run the ball quite a bit, then after the defense tries to stop the run, we play-action and through deep routes, post routes. It's one of those explosive-type offenses. As far as the guys, we had a whole bunch of freshmen who came back for the sophomore year. All experienced and real close. It was like family, a real good situation to be in."

Question: Not a lot of people know about the SWJCC. A lot of Division 1 talent comes out of there. Is it a well-kept secret for finding talent?
Gochneaur: "Oh, most definitely. I played with some guys that can easily go to any school in the nation they want, but they just don't have the grades or whatever their situation might be. Off my team this year, we had a defensive end sign with Miami, a linebacker signed with Nebraska, and we also had four other guys sign with a D1 team. There's a lot of talent there. Some schools are tapping into it, some other schools haven't found it yet. But there definitely is a bunch of good talent there."
Question: Do you think it has prepared you well to come up into a program like Marshall, which is known for quarterbacks?
Gochneaur: "Definitely. Because as quarterback, you can't have anything better for you than experience. It's two years of college football, and it's a high level of college football. You're playing against guys who could easily play on Division 1 teams, but didn't have the grades to do so. Great athletes with good coaching. From the experience aspect of it, it was just great to get me more prepared."
