Joe Coyne Enjoys Trip to Huntington

Offensive guard Joe Coyne recently visited Marshall and came away impressed. The Herd is high on his list of schools battling for his services for signing day in February of 2009. Listen to Herd Insider's recruiting reporter Luke Beach when he got a chance to interview Coyne and to see where the Herd stands with the big offensive lineman.

Joe Coyne a 6-foot-2, 260-pound offensive guard out of Avon Lake High School near Cleveland, Ohio, recently made the trip down to Huntington on Friday the 18th, to take a look at what Marshall has to offer. The talented lineman came away very impressed with what he saw.

Joe helped to pave the way for not one but two 1,000 yard rushers, all while not allowing a single sack last season. Coyne made All-Southwestern Conference, All-Lorain County Teams and was named Morning Journal All-Star last season. His team saw their season cut short when they lost in the regional finals. Joe is also being recruited by Miami, OH, Ball State, and Central Michigan.

Coyne reports a 315-pound bench and 500-pound squat.
