Grommer elaborated on his visit to College Park. Its great I knew once I left I knew I was going there. Its been great cause I wanted to make my decision within the first week of my season. Now I can just focus on my season.
Grommer was able to spend the whole weekend in College Park taking in all that it offers. On Saturday I was there for the Morgan State game, and was able to talk to a few of the coaches after the game. On Sunday I took a tour of the campus and athletic facilities, and became familiar with the area. I had a good time. The coaches were excited. I got to know them better, and thought it would be a great fit for me. They really like my character.
While many seniors graduate early to get a head start on their college careers Grommer does not see that as something he wants. I want to wait until next fall. I want to let everything happen naturally. I dont want to get there early, not really knowing anyone, and be stuck with things Im not comfortable.
With only seven games remaining in his high school career Grommer will continue to improve, preparing himself for life in the ACC. I want to get better at down field blocking and blocking on screens. I will probably play guard at Maryland. I will have to go through a transition period, but it shouldnt be to bad.
Stephen Grommer will hope to lead his team to the playoffs in last season, and also hopes to take in another Terrapin game on an official visit towards the end of his season.
