Nwosu Considering Terps

2012 tight end prospect Daniel Nwosu has early interest in Terps

Duval High School's star junior tight end Daniel Nwosu has recently been gaining the interest of numerous prestigious football programs including Maryland, Bryant, Pittsburg, Marshall, West Virginia, Boston College, and Rutgers. Although Nwosu is awaiting offers from most of these schools, the three-star recruit knows what he wants st the next level, “I definitely want a place that has the major I end up wanting to pursue,” explained Nwosu. “Academics are the most important thing. I also want to be in a place that has a good surrounding area.”

On his recent visit to Maryland, Nwosu was very impressed with the College Park campus and what the school had to offer, “It was a great place. The facilities were awesome and it there was a great feel.”

The Maryland coaches have been very impressed with Nwosu as well, “They really like my size and my ability to overpower defenders,” said Nwosu. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound stud said the feeling was between the coaches and himself was mutual, “I really got a good feeling from them,” said Nwosu. “I think with my ability to make plays, study defenses, and become a learner, I will be able to do some great things under the coaching staff.”

Nwosu believes that newly hired Head Coach Randy Edsall's offensive scheme fits his style of play well, “I excel in an offense where I can run short routes and make things happen after the catch,” said Nwosu. “I will be able to do a good job in the run game as well because I am becoming a better blocking tight end.”

As of now, Nwosu is unsure of when he will make his decision. Before that day comes, the recruit plans on visiting more schools, improving his game, and seeing what everyone has to offer.
