Big time OL to camp at MD

The in-state schools are not that appealing to Sumter (SC) offensive lineman James Thompson, who has two teams at the top of his list.

"North Carolina and East Carolina just offered, so that makes five offers with South Carolina, Clemson, and Maryland," says the 6-foot-5, 310 pounder. "Right now, though, Virginia is number one. They want me to come up to the camp so they can offer me in person. The same thing with Georgia, and they are probably one and two right now."

While Virginia wants to see him in camp, Thompson is not sure he will be able to make it.

"I am going to camp at Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, and hopefully Virginia, but I am not sure yet."

Thompson says he feels as though his top two schools are on the rise, which is why he is looking to get out of the state.

"The programs are doing really well. Georgia is doing a great job after the season they had last year, and Virginia is doing the same thing, with both of them doing a great job of recruiting.

"I probably will not commit during the camps or the season. Most likely I will not commit until signing day."
