Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) has several excellent players on defense, which has schools coming to visit on a regular basis. One school recently extended an offer to linebacker George Covington.

"I got an offer from Colorado," says the 6-foot-3, 260 pounder. "They are pretty high on my list. They have a very good program over there."

However, another team is on top of Covington's list, and he is thinking local.

"Number on is probably Maryland. They are supposed to offer at camp (June 18-21) because they want to see how I am at linebacker since I played defensive tackle last year, and it is hard to tell how I could adjust."

Covington admist that with a big lead, if Maryland offers after the camp, he might commit to the Terps.

"I might commit, but I like a few other schools as well. Penn State is number four."

Other camps he plans to attend include Virginia and Penn State as well as many other one-day camps.

"I want to get better because I might get some playing time at outside linebacker, but this year, I will mostly play at defensive end."
