2012 Schedule Announced

2012 home schedule highlighted by September 1 opener, head coach Randy Edsall against his former team on September 15 and a regular season finale with Florida State

The ACC announced its composite football schedule on Monday. Maryland will kick off its 2012 season on September 1 against William & Mary. The 12-game schedule includes six home games, and interestingly does not include consecutive home or away games for the entire season.

The Terps play three of their first five games at home including the William & Mary opener. They host Connecticut on September 15 and Wake Forest on October 6, following a bye week on September 29.

In addition to the two September home games, the first half of the 2012 slate is travel friendly for Maryland and its fans. The first three road games include three short road trips to Temple on September 8, West Virginia on September 22 and Virginia on October 13.

The second half of the schedule includes home games with NC State (October 20), Georgia Tech (November 3) and Florida State (November 17). Road games include Boston College (October 27), Clemson (November 10) and the regular season finale on November 24 at North Carolina.
