A big offer is now on the plate for Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) linebacker George Covington, and he is thinking about that offer very hard.
"Maryland offered me at their camp. They are a solid school, and definitely high on my list," says the 6-foot-3, 230 pounder. "They are probably number one, but it is hard to say. My number one changes every day."
That list includes the Terrapins, Tennessee, Colorado (which has offered), and Penn State. The effort now is to decide on a school, which should happen soon.
"I planned to commit early, and I still plan to make a decision by the end of the summer." The question then is how his early commitment will affect his teammate Derrick Harvey?
"Derrick is his own man and he can do what he wants to do. We were thinking about going to the same school, but now we are just talking about picking on our own."
However, do not overlook the friendship between the two in the long-haul.
