"Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina are my top five schools," says the 6-foot, 190 pounder with 4.34 speed. "Miami is going to offer soon, so they are number six right now. If they do offer, I will just have a top-6. Maryland is probably number seven."
Dutch visits Maryland today for a one-day camp and will attend Florida's camp.
"I also went down to North Carolina for a camp called Project Uplift. I was the only athlete there, and they showed how good their academics are. I spent two nights at that before the camp, and I got to meet some of the current players, and I had a lot of fun."
Another item of note for Dutch, in light of recent events, is how closely he is following the expansion of the ACC.
"When I was growing up, people always said that if you want to be a quarterback or a receiver you need to go to the SEC, so that is why I always liked Florida. Now people are talking about how the ACC will be a great conference with some great teams entering, so there is a mixture in there of teams from the ACC and the SEC."
Off the football field, Dutch carries a 3.8 GPA and has already landed a 1060 SAT. Academics are very important to him, and will play a vital role in his choosing of a university this year.
