Hometown: Ijamsville, Md.
Height & Weight: 6-foot-5, 300 pounds
Projected Position on Depth Chart: Backup guard
The rundown: Harraka was a reserve guard last season after redshirting the 2010 season, but did not see any time on the field. He has strength and can set powerful blocks and was named the scout team offensive player of the week leading up to the game against Florida State last season. Harraka played center, guard and defensive end in high school, though the Terps are sticking with him on the offensive side of the ball.
Expectations for 2012: Harraka will once again take on the role of a reserve guard. If he is lucky, he will get some playing time during garbage time in some games, but for the most part, Harraka will not see a lot of action. He is listed behind De'Onte Arnett and Josh Cary who are battling for the starting right guard position and will have a hard time getting playing time over both of the more experienced offensive lineman.
