Hometown: Raleigh, N.C.
Height & Weight: 6-foot-3, 210 pounds
Projected Position on Depth Chart: Backup wide receiver
The rundown: King was a highly recruited wide receiver out of high school but had to sit out last season due to an NCAA eligibility issue. He's a big, strong wide receiver but will still need to continue to work on his speed. In his senior season at Oak Ridge Military Academy, King had 38 receptions for 732 yards and eight touchdowns. He was a member of the 2011 wide receiver class that included Marcus Leak and Tyrek Cheeseboro.
Expectations for 2012: King is listed as being in a competition for a starting wide receiver position along with Leak and Cheeseboro. Leak has had more experience with the Terps, playing all of last season, and is the most likely to start at the beginning of the regular season. King has the talent to overtake Leak and Cheeseboro though and it's not hard to see King as a starter by the middle of the season. Regardless of whether he starts or not, King should see a good amount of playing time next season.
