Meet the Terps Offense: #33 Albert Reid

College Park, MD. - TSR gets you acclimated with the 2012 Terps, first looking at the offense.

Player: Albert Reid

Hometown: Washington, D.C.

Class: Freshman

Height & Weight: 5-foot-10, 200 pounds

Projected Position on Depth Chart: Backup running back

The rundown: Reid was a four-star prospect on Scout.com and will not be going far to play college ball in College Park, his hometown. In his senior season at Friendship Collegiate, Reid rushed for 1,705 yards and had 39 receiving yards for 17 total touchdowns. Reid is considered an all-around back and is considered one of Maryland's running backs for the future.

Expectations for 2012: Reid joins a deep group of running backs and is one of four freshmen at the position along with Wes Brown, Joe Riddle and Brandon Ross (redshirt). Pickett, Ross and Brown will receive most of the carries this season and Reid could possibly redshirt his freshman year as he will most likely not see too much action next year. Reid is a talented rusher though, and he is capable of being an offensive threat for the Terps in a year or two.
