Top-ranked Maryland faces fifth-seeded Virginia on Friday in the semifinals of the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Maryland beat Virginia Tech 15-7 on April 20 and earned the No.1 seed in the ACC Championships after going undefeated in the regular season. Virginia beat Duke 10-7 in the quarterfinal round of the ACC Championships on Thursday. Maryland won the first game against Virginia earlier this season, 18-10 on March 1.
Friday's game will be shown on ESPN3 as well as RSN affiliates FS South, FS Florida, NESN, and Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic.
The winner will advance to the 2013 ACC Championships on Sunday at 5 p.m. against the winner of Boston College/North Carolina
