This is the fourth-straight season the Terrapins will face the Tar Heels in the ACC title game. Last season, third-seeded Maryland upset the top-seeded Tar Heels 14-10 in the 2012 ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship title game. The win gave Maryland its fourth-straight ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship title.

Maryland beat Virginia 13-9 on Friday in the semifinals, while UNC topped Boston College 16-6 in the second semifinal game on Friday.

Maryland outlasted the Tar Heels 14-13 in the regular season meeting between the two teams in College Park.

The 2013 ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship game is set to begin at 5 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN3 as well as RSN affiliates FS South, FS Florida, NESN, and Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic.
