"I was doing a lot of tip-toeing," Ross said. "I felt like this week I hit the hole harder, and got the yards I could get. I let the game come to me, I didn't force anything."
There was certainly no tip-toeing this week for Ross, who ran for a new career-high 149 yards, against Old Dominion of September 7.
"I didn't even know," Ross said after the game. "I didn't even know I had a hundred yards."
For Ross, a new career-high isn't something to be rewarded for, instead it is just another barrier he hopes to break.
"There are always improvements you can make. I am not really satisfied," Ross said. "There is always something you can work on to get better, so you can never really hang your head on one game."
