Washington, D.C. -- Gonzaga College High (Washington, D.C.) junior offensive lineman Richie Petitbon, whom Terrapin Times checked out Nov. 2 for Gonzaga's game against St. John's, is one of the area's elite recruits, claiming upwards of 20 offers already.

But while the 6-foot-4, 290-pound four-star prospect seems infatuated with the Alabamas and LSUs of the world, he said Maryland is still firmly in play. The legacy recruit-- whose father suited up in College Park--has been to Maryland numerous times, has a solid relationship with the staff and understands the benefits of staying home for college. That said, he'll explore all his options, and next up Petitbon plans to visit Penn State Nov. 23 and LSU Nov. 30.
