Terps Top Owls, 66-62

COLLEGE PARK,Md.--Maryland sophomore Jake Layman had 22 points and the Terps beat FAU 66-62, at the Comcast Center on Sunday afternoon.

COLLEGE PARK,Md.--Maryland (7-4) had four points in double-figures in its 66-62, win over Florida Atlantic at the Comcast Center on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore Jake Layman had a game-high 22-points, while junior Dez Wells, and sophomores Shaquille Cleare and Charles Mitchell each chipped in 10 points for the Terps.

Maryland led by as many as 13 points midway through the first half, but Florida Atlantic went on a 22-11 run to cut the Terps lead to 33-31 at the half.

After a making just four-of-14, 3-point shots in the first half the Terps went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc the final 20 minutes.

Maryland out rebounded the Owls 40-33, and finished the game with 8 blocks.
