Trimble Shines in Showdown

UPPER MARLBORO, Md.--Terp signee Romelo Trimble led Bishop O'Connell (Va.) with 25 points and five dimes en route to a 78-72, win against Potomac (Md.) and his future teammate Dion Wiley.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md.--Maryland men's basketball team has struggled all season to find a floor general to run its offense, and that was never more apparent than a unsettling home loss to Boston University--in which the Terps had 17 turnovers-- on Saturday afternoon.

However, on Saturday night Mark Turgeon had to feel a bit better about the the future of Maryland's program after watching his future guard, Bishop O'Connell (Va.) senior Romelo Trimble, slash, shoot, steal, and dish his way to 25 points and five assists to help his team to a 82-72 win over Potomac (Md.) and another future Terp, Dion Wiley, in the DMV Tip-Off Class at Wise High School.

Trimble was named the game's Most Valuable Player, and after the game he caught up with Terrapin Times to talk about his performance, playing against his future teammate Dion Wiley, and catching a glimpse of Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon sitting courtside, and more in the video below.
