Here's where the Maryland Terps are in early March in terms of their 2015 recruiting efforts: Recruits with Known Offers

Diamond Stone, 6-10, Dominion (Milwaukee, Wisc.): Marquette, Wisconsin, UNC, Arizona, UCLA the leaders.

Georgios Papagiannis, 7-0, Westtown (Pa.): Terps have offered; other firm offers unknown. Very low-key recruitment at this time

Carlton Bragg, 6-9, Villa Angela St Joseph (Cleveland, Ohio): Kentucky, Illinois, Louisville, Arizona, Ohio State the favorites.

Josh Sharma, 7-0, Northfield Mount Hermon School (Northfield, Mass.): Wisconsin the early leader over Boston College, Connecticut, Harvard, Illinois, UMass, Providence, Vanderbilt and Maryland.

Esa Ahmad, 6-7, Shaker Heights (Shaker Heights, Ohio): West Virginia, Maryland, Rutgers and Clemson may lead Cincinnati, Iowa State, Dayton, Miami and Xavier.

Horace Spencer, 6-8, Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.): Temple, West Virginia, Villanova, Maryland, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Rutgers in play.

Marcus Sheffield, 6-5, Chattahoochee HS (Alpharetta, Ga.): Maryland, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Xavier, VCU and Miami in play.

Jordan Murphy, 6-7, William J. Brennan HS (San Antonio, Texas): Marquette, Texas A&M, Texas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, SMU, Vanderbilt, Maryland under consideration.

Jaylen Brown, 6-6, Wheeler HS (Marietta, Ga.): Georgia Tech, Georgia, Louisville, Florida, Ohio State, Kansas in play. Maryland has offered.

Terance Mann, 6-5, Tilton School (Tilton, N.H.): Georgetown, Florida State, VCU, Creighton, Maryland in play.

Jaylen Adams, 6-2, Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, Kans.): UConn, Kansas, Providence, Minnesota, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Creighton in play.

Allonzo Trier, 6-4, Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.): Oklahoma State, Baylor, Oklahoma, Washington, Georgetown, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota in play.

Donovan Mitchell, 6-2, Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.): Boston College, Creighton, St. John's, UConn, Providence, Florida, Maryland, Marquette, Cincinnati in play.

Christopher Clarke, 6-5, Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, Va.): Iowa State, Kansas State, VCU, Va Tech, Maryland, Creighton in play.

Malik Ellison, 6-5, Life Center Academy (Burlington, N.J.): Maryland, Temple, Penn State, Miami, LaSalle, St. Joe's in play.

Franklin Howard, 6-4, Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.): Syracuse, Ohio State, Kansas, Georgetown, Maryland in play.

Joshua Reaves, 6-4, Paul VI: Maryland has not yet offered, but in play, along with Villanova, VCU, Penn State, BC, Temple and Georgetown.

Others could still get offers in the spring, but for now, these are the ones we are aware of. Handicapping this list is not an exact science, but we'll try to categorize them as follows, in terms of Maryland's chances:

Extreme Longshots: Stone, Bragg, Brown

Unlikely: Sharma, Howard

Possible but Not Holding Our Breath: Spencer, Mann, Trier, Mitchell

Reasonable Shot: Papagiannis, Murphy, Adams, Ahmad, Sheffield, Clarke, Ellison, Reaves

Two factors to keep in mind: Attrition and any future Class of 2014 additions (oh yeah, kids change their minds constantly.)

We've been assuming three signees in 2015 for some time, but that could obviously change as we wait to see how the roster shakes out in the coming months, and if, in fact, anyone leaves, or anyone is still added.

As the list of offers clearly points out, wings are a priority, and by the level of interest being shown recently, Ahmad is someone the staff has prioritized.

I don't see any blockbuster five-star guys coming into the fold, not surprising given the rough year the Terps have endured. That said, if you can nab three of those in the "reasonable shot" category, it will be a successful recruiting year.
