COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland has been after Potomac (Oxon Hill, Md.) defensive tackle Keiron Howard for about a month, and the 6-foot-3, 280 pounder has the hometown school under heavy consideration following a June 1 one-day camp.
He is also considering an offer from Temple, while his Tennessee scholarship may not be committable at this time. Regardless, Howard is singing the Terps' praises, and he has a growing rapport with recruiter Mike Locksley and defensive line coach Chad Wilt. He also likes the fact that UMD is so close to his family.
