TOWSON, Md. -- Calvert Hall receiver Lawrence Cager holds about 17 offers, and his most recent came after last weekend's 7-on-7 foray through the Carolinas, where he picked up verbals from NC State, Duke, North Carolina and Virginia. The big wideout also added a hometown Maryland offer following the Terps' camp June 8.
Right now, Cager has several standout schools, including Ohio State (no offer), Notre Dame (no offer), Missouri (no offer), UMD and Rutgers. He believes he could very well pick up said scholarships from OSU, UND and Mizzou following camps this summer. Of that group, Cager acknowledged the Buckeyes, Irish and Scarlet Knights may hold a bit of an edge, though he has much love for the Terps and Tigers too.
Cager has a busy visit schedule ahead of him, and he'll be at Maryland this weekend for a 7-on-7. After the summer, he plans to have a firm favorites list and wants to have his decision made by mid-fall.
